Mitchell began working part time for the funeral home in 2015 and later began working full time in 2017. Following, high school Mitchell joined the United States Marines and was stationed in Hawaii and Japan. Mitchell serves in various capacities at the funeral home and owns and operates Wilson Transport with his dad, Larry. He lives outside of Harrisonburg with his high school sweetheart and wife, Shana and their three children, Rowan, Lainey, and Saylor. He is an active member of Cornerstone Christian Church in Broadway and in his spare time enjoys antique tractors, working on automobiles, camping and spending time with his family.
