William "W.L." Lester Hoover Obituary (1955

William "W.L." Lester Hoover, 64, a resident of Rockingham, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at his home. Mr. Hoover was born on January 19, 1955 and was the son of the late Lester Leon and Rosie Lee Strickler Hoover. He owned and operated Hoover's Auto Repair. He loved playing guitar, music and hunting. He enjoyed socializing with his old friends and family at his shop. On April 3, 1982, he married the former Cathy Moyers who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Melinda Hawley and husband Jonathan of Dayton; a son, Joe Hoover and wife Jodie of Dayton; siblings, Judith Kile and husband David of Dayton, Jeffrey Hoover and wife Lisa of Rockingham; a grandson, Luke Hoover; and two special nephews, Jesse Hoover and Jared Hoover. A funeral service will be conducted at the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Clinton Cemetery.
