Weldon Arnold Liskey Obituary (1943

Weldon Arnold Liskey, 74, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017. Mr. Liskey was born on August 5, 1943 in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Robert "Bob" Arnold and Mae Blosser Liskey. He graduated from Broadway High School in 1961, attended Valley Vo-Tech and Blue Ridge Community College where he took conversational Spanish for work. He worked for Town and Country Motors and later worked for Big A Auto Parts for 27 years as a manager. He is survived by his devoted wife, Pearlene Liskey; two sons, Weldon "Jay" Liskey, Jr. and wife Debbie of Broadway, Chris Liskey and wife Katina of Harrisonburg; a sister, Shirley Meyerhoeffer and husband Bill of Rushville; and four grandchildren, Emma Liskey, Dakota Liskey, Christopher Dylan Liskey and Felicia Kile and two great grandchildren, Dixie and Christian. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Liskey and a brother, Grover Liskey. Pastor Glen Turner will conduct a graveside service on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Greenmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may begin calling the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
