Tara Ann Hamrick Obituary (1981 - 2016)

Tara Ann Hamrick, 35, of Staunton, passed away on Monday June 13, 2016. Mrs. Hamrick was born on March 12, 1981 in Harrisonburg, and was a daughter of David M. "Sonny" Loker and the late Sandra Ann Rowland Loker who passed away on December 22, 1990. Tara loved the beach and watching police shows. She volunteered for the Colington Harbour Fire Department. Most recently she worked as a loan representative for Wells Fargo Bank. On September 9, 2000 she married Robert Hamrick, who survives. In addition to her husband, Tara is survived by her daughter, Lauren Hamrick of Staunton; a sister, Ashleigh Loker of Australia; a step daughter Cheyenne Mickens of Waynesboro; beloved cats, Fruit Bowl, Bear Bear, Jill and Sweet Pea. Tara was preceded in death by her aunt, Karen "Sissy" Loker. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday June 22, 2016 at 2 pm at Linville Cemetery with Pastors Guy Hudson and Bill Zirk officiating. At Mrs. Hamrick's request, her body was cremated.
