Sherwood B. Riggleman Obituary (1937

Sherwood B. Riggleman, 80, Broadway passed away November 4, 2017 at Avante Nursing Home. Mr. Riggleman was born on June 8, 1937 in Rockingham County and was the son of the late, Loy Samuel and Rennie Roadcap Riggleman. He was a lifelong farmer and retired from Pilgrims Pride. Mr. Riggleman was a member of the Fulks Run Ruritan Club. On October 13, 1979, he married the former Susan Turner who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth S. Riggleman and son, Michael B. Riggleman, both of Broadway, two sisters, Naomi Sponaugle and Faye Kingston both of Broadway, a grandson, Noah Benjamin Riggleman. He was preceded in death by a half-brother, Wilmer Shumaker. Pastor Jimmy Kite will conduct a funeral service Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from seven until eight.
