Robert Lee "Buddy" Howe, Sr. Obituary (1935 - 2013)

Robert Lee "Buddy" Howe, Sr., 77 Robert Lee "Buddy" Howe, Sr., 77, a resident of Hinton, passed away on July 17, 2013. Mr. Howe was born on September 23, 1935 in Dayton, Virginia and was the son of the late John T. and Dixie Lee Miller Howe. He served in the National Guard, and retired after 33 years from Dunham-Busch. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. On August 15, 1977, he married the former Lois Lane Heatwole who survives. Also surviving are his children, Robert Lee "Buddy" Howe, Jr. of Bridgewater; N.A. "PeeWee" Howe and wife Diane of Elkton; Elizabeth Jean "Beth" Howe-Vasquez, of Harrisonburg a step-son, Jeffrey Heatwole and wife Cathleen of Harrisonburg; four grandchildren, Benjamin James Howe and wife Gina, Christopher David Howe, Anthony Cortez, Mariaelena Vasquez; three step-grandchildren, Cory Heatwole, Cory Fulk, Jeffrey Heatwole; three great grandchildren, Lucas and McKenna Howe and Annabella Cortez. Pastor Archie Webster will conduct a graveside service on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dayton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. prior to the graveside at McMullen Funeral Home.
