Nellie Anna Sonifrank

Nellie Anna (Lahman) Sonifrank, 64, of Dayton, passed away on Thursday June 2, 2016 at the Sentara RMH Medical Center.
Mrs. Sonifrank was born on December 10, 1951 in Harrisonburg, and was a daughter of the late Roy Henry and Grace Elizabeth (Heatwole) Lahman. She was a homemaker. Nellie was a member of Bank Mennonite Church. She enjoyed traveling, taking pictures, and taxiing her friends from place to place. Her greatest joy was babysitting her grandchildren and spending time with her family and friends.
On December 23, 1972, she married Linden Daniel Sonifrank who survives.
In addition to her husband, Nellie is survived by her children, Rebecca Pletcher and husband Phillip of Goshen, IN, Grace Glenn and husband Quinten of Broadway, Patricia May Beery and husband Roland of Mt. Crawford, Cecil Sonifrank and wife Gloria of Dayton; siblings, Mary Grace Mallow and husband Larry of Mt. Clinton, Dewitt Lahman and wife Bonnie of Broadway, Jonas Lahman and wife Grace of Weyers Cave; six grandchildren, Alicia, Sabrina, Trenton, and Abigail Pletcher, Cheyanne and Dustin Beery; and many special friends. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dean Daniel Sonifrank on September 28, 2015.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday June 5, 2016 at 3 PM at Bank Mennonite Church with John Hartzler, Philip Wenger, Nathan Horst and Linden Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 PM at the church.
