Maxine H. Wampler Obituary (1932 - 2014)

Maxine H. Wampler, 81, a resident of Broadway, VA, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Mrs. Wampler was born on June 29, 1932 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Ernest L. and Martha Hartman Hawse. She was preceded in death by one sister, Genevieve H. Houser and one brother, Richard L. Hawse. She was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church in Fulks Run. She retired from High's Dairy Stores in 1989. Surviving is her husband, Charles Wampler of Linville; seven children, Deborah Chiavetta (James) of Maurertown; Charles J. Wampler, II (Susan) of Fulks Run; Tamara Kronk (Tony) of Broadway; Susan Nazelrod (Lindy) of Timberville; Timothy Wampler Luray; Randall Wampler (Melissa) of Harrisonburg; Rodney Wampler (Leslie) of Harrisonburg; a daughter-in-law, Donna K. Wampler of New Market and one sister, Verl Faught of Dumfries. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Mount Carmel United Methodist Church in Fulks Run, on Saturday, May 10, at 2:00 p.m. There will be no graveside service.
