Maxine Tolsma

Maxine C. Tolsma, 82

Maxine C. Tolsma, 82, of Bridgewater, passed away Monday, March 18,
2013 after a brief illness and stay at the Bridgewater Retirement
Community.

She was born June 19, 1930 in Lockport, New York and was the daughter
of the late Daniel and Alice Carter.

She was united in marriage on October 20, 1951 to Donald D. Tolsma who
preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 2006.

She is survived by her four children, Claudia T. Hill and husband Amyl,
of Summerville, S.C.; Robert D. Tolsma and wife Vicki, of
McGaheysville; Linda T. McIntyre and husband Chip, of Harrisonburg;
and Sandy T. Switzer and husband William, of Bridgewater; ten
grandchildren, Andy, Scott, and Joshua Hill, Jenna Owens, Dakota
Tolsma, Carter Lyons, Jay McIntyre, Mindy Berry, Matthew Switzer, and
Megan Colaw; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two
sisters, Janet Jerge, of Lockport, NY and Margery Williams, of Wilson,
NY.

A funeral service will be held at Bridgewater Church of the Brethren, where she was a long time member, Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Oak
Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Bridgewater Church of the Brethren.
