Margaret Ann "Margie" Sheffer Obituary (1972

Margaret Ann "Margie" Sheffer, 46, of Broadway, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Sentara RMH Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Margie was born on September 7, 1972 in West Virginia, and was a daughter of Raymond Coontz and the late Marion Ethel (King) Stottlemyer. She worked for Preston Cleaners, Miracle Ear, and most recently in child care for Simmons Cut and Tan. Margie adored her grandchildren and loved spending as much time as she could with them. She was always thinking of others and would see to them being taken care of before herself. She is survived by her husband, Richard Sheffer; sons, Richard Coontz, Tyler Coontz and wife Brianna, Trenton Sheffer; a brother, Raymond Coontz Jr.; grandchildren, Ethan, Lainee, Haylee, Arabella, Josephine; stepmother, Cathy Coontz; half-brother, Jesse Coontz; Aunt, Ruby Lantz; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many special friends. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday October 9, 2018 at Linville Creek Church of the Brethren at 11 AM with Pastor Dale Smith officiating. A celebration of life service will be held immediately following the graveside service at the Springbrook Community Center on Alger Lane. There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home and her casket will remain closed.
