Louise R. Miller

Louise R. Miller, 92 Louise Ritchie Miller, 92, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Oak Lea Nursing Home where she had been a resident for 8 years. Mrs. Miller was born on July 22, 1918, in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Claude H. and Lucy Lee Ritchie. She graduated from the Rockingham Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1942, after which she worked as a private duty nurse and in various other areas of nursing at RMH. She was a member of the Harrisonburg Baptist Church. On July 13, 1941, she married Lloyd Franklin Miller, Sr. who preceded her in death on May 7, 2005. Surviving are a son, L.F. Miller, Jr., of Hickory, North Carolina; a daughter, Linda Miller Marsh of Fleetwood, North Carolina; and four grandchildren, Lloyd Franklin Miller III, Michael Adam Miller, Scott Franklin Marsh, and Susan Pell Marsh. Wendell ?Sonny? Henkel will conduct a funeral service on Saturday, November, 27, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Singers Glen Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
