Lorna M. Nesselrodt Obituary (1943 - 2011)

Lorna M. Nesselrodt, 67 Lorna Mae Miller Nesselrodt, 67, a resident of Linville, died Monday, May 9, 2011 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Nesselrodt was born on September 4, 1943 in Woodstock, and was the daughter of the late John William, Jr. and Eunice Jenkins Miller. She was retired from Brockway and also worked at Food Lion in Timberville part time. She was an active member of Greenmount Church and especially enjoyed helping with the Kids Club children?s program. On September 3, 1991, she married, David Nesselrodt who survives. Also surviving are six children, Woody ?Curtis? Funkhouser, Tina Funkhouser, Scott Funkhouser and wife Rosetta all of Broadway, Norma Nesselrodt and husband Kevin of Linville, Diana Smith and husband Bill of Mt. Solon, Rebecca Trumbo of Luray; one sister, Barbara Orndorff of Stephens City, three brothers, Dale Miller and Thomas Miller and wife Polly both of Toms Brook and her twin brother, Larry K. Miller and wife Jane of Strasburg; fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and fourteen nieces and nephews. Mrs. Nesselrodt was preceded in death by two brothers, John William Miller, Jr. and Donald Miller. Pastor Ken Dolan will conduct a memorial service on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Greenmount Church of the Brethren. Burial will be held privately. Friends may call at the McMullen Funeral Home at anytime. The casket will be closed.
