Lelia K. Eberly Obituary (1923 - 2011)

Lelia Keller Eberly, 88 Lelia Keller Eberly, 88, of Harrisonburg, went to be with her Lord on February 28, 2011 at Crestwood in Harrisonburg. Her husband of 53 years, Warren Rohrer Eberly, preceded her death on December 17, 1995. Mrs. Eberly was born on February 13, 1923 in Dayton, Virginia and was the daughter of the late William and Sallie Simmers Keller. She was a charter member of Dayton Mennonite Church. Lelia was a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be greatly missed by her family, friends and church community. Surviving are six sons, Willard K. and wife Eva (Hartzler) of Bari, Italy, Sherman D. and wife Ann (Peifer) of Harrisonburg, Richard L. and wife Joan (MacAllister) of Harrisonburg, Wendell J. and wife Carol (Weaver) of Harrisonburg, Charles W. and wife Sonya (Stahl) of Harrisonburg, Brent W. and wife Chris (Wright) of Bridgewater, a sister, Lorene Layman of Dayton, thirteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Eberly was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Warren Keller, and three sisters, Orpha Keller, Evangeline Showalter, and Nellie Early. Lelia?s celebration of life memorial service will be held at Dayton Mennonite Church on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Pastors Daryl Driver and Nate Yoder will conduct the service. The graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Dayton Mennonite Cemetery, prior to the memorial service. The family will have a viewing and receive friends on Tuesday evening, March 1, 2011, from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Weavers Mennonite Church at the Shady Oak Fellowship Hall. Friends may also call at McMullen Funeral Home at anytime on Tuesday.
