Julia Evick

Julia Ann Evick, 83, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Bridgewater Nursing Home.

Mrs. Evick was born on April 16, 1941 in Highland County, West Virginia and was a daughter of the late Roscoe Mauzy and Nola Blanche Harper. She was devoted homemaker who loved taking care of family in all aspects. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

On July 12, 1958, she married Richard Franklin Evick who preceded her in death on December 13, 2021.

Surviving are her children, Kathy Hartman, Doris Martin and husband Jeff, Melissa Evick; brother, Michael Mauzy and wife Vickie; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Mauzy, Ann Mauzy; grandchildren, Ashley Geo, Brandon Martin, Brittney Bacon, Chelsey Boutilier; and great-grandchildren, Luke Martin, Addison Martin, Reese Bacon, and Gavin Bacon.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Evick was preceded in death by brothers and sister, Larry Mauzy, Charlotte Ritchie and husband Robert, William Mauzy; and an infant sister, Betty Jean Mauzy.

Pastor Scott Thayer will conduct a funeral service on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m.
