Judy Stroop Morral

Judy Elaine Stroop Morral, 81, a resident of Dayton, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Sentara RMH Medical Center.

Mrs. Stroop was born on February 7, 1944 in Virginia and was a daughter of the late Barney Keezle and Minnie Bell Moubray Knight. Judy was a lover of all children, especially her own family and grandchildren. She served as a caregiver to her family and cherished her time spent with them. Alongside her caring nature, she gave great care to her gardening, flowers, and cats and dogs. She was a dedicated and beloved member of Peake Pentecostal Church.

She was married to Johnny Delmer Morral for 43 years who preceded her in death.

Surviving are her children, Donald R. Stroop and wife Nora, Gary W. Morral, Jonathan S. Morral and wife Amy, Betty Caldwell and husband James; grandchildren, April Caldwell, Wesley Stroop, Dustin Stroop and wife Joy, Amanda Caldwell, Ashley Stroop, Carys Morral, Brienne Morral, Colin Morral, Conor Morral; great-grandchildren, Zoey Stroop, Skylar Stroop; and siblings, Roger Knight, Julie Wilburn, Linda Shoemaker, and Johnny Knight.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Stroop was preceded in death by her siblings, Jessie Knight, Litwood Knight, Fred Knight and Bobby Knight.

Pastors Jeff Warner and Pam Reedy will conduct a funeral service on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Clover Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
