John Sherman "Tucker" Morris Obituary (1933 - 2016)

John Sherman "Tucker" Morris, 82, Fulks Run passed away on August 28, 2016 at his home. He was the son of the late Gilbert and Lula Crawford Morris. He was united in marriage to Ruth Miller Morris who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Ronald Morris and Warren Morris both of Fulks Run, one daughter Karen Heerman and husband Keith of Briery Branch, four grandchildren, Alicia Shores and husband Branden of Charlottesville, Nathan Heerman of Union Springs, Whittney Heerman of Briery Branch and Samantha Morris of Fulks Run and one great granddaughter Hadley Shores of Charlottesville. Tucker is also survived by three sisters, Reinetta Boyd and Arbutus Mongold of Fulks Run, and Fern Weese of Harrisonburg, one brother, Allan "Spencer" Morris of Singers Glen. Tucker was predeceased by daughter-in-law Deborah Morris, two sisters, Shirley Siever and Margaret Shoemaker and a brother Emory Morris. Upon his request the body will be cremated. Pastor Dan Horning will conduct a memorial service Wednesday morning at 11a.m. at the Gospel Hill Mennonite Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses, Ruth Morris, 12485 Blue Heron Lane, Fulks Run, VA 22830. McMullen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
