Johannes G. Weiss, 87
Johannes G. Weiss, servant of Jesus Christ and missionary to the Philippines, passed away to be with his Lord on March 23, 2016. He was 87 years old, born on May 15, 1928. He will be buried in Greenmount Cemetery, Harrisonburg, Virgina, with arrangements for the burial by McMullen Funeral Home. A memorial service is planned for April 3, 2016 at 3 p.m. to take place at New Beginnings Church, 101 Pike Church Road, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
Johannes is survived by his brother, Arthur Weiss and wife Aaltje of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, children, Ina De Craene and husband Bob, Johan Weiss and wife Cathy, Sylvia Good and husband Phillip, and Judy Ross and husband Lew, and his grandchildren, John Weiss, Paul Weiss, Zachary Good, Hannah Good, Aaron Ross, Seth Ross and Marcus Ross.
Johannes was born in the Netherlands and settled in the United States with his wife Clazina and their children in 1957. He and his family inspired and touched lives in Christian fellowships in Orlando, Florida; Richardson Springs, California; Wilmore, Kentucky; Cincinnati, Ohio; Harrisonburg, Virginia, as well as the countries of the Netherlands, Belgium, France, the Philippines, and Togo.
