Janice E. Keller, 66

Janice Elizabeth Shirkey Keller, 66, a resident of Broadway, passed away on August 8, 2015 at her home.
Mrs. Keller was born on February 13, 1949 in Alexandria, and was the daughter of the late Willard Lee, Jr. and Ruth Mae Warren Shirkey. She worked for Walker Manufacturing and Flippo Oil prior to her retirement. She loved going out to dinner, all animals and was very much a people person who loved her nieces and nephews as her own children. She was a member of Bethel Church of the Brethren.
On April 10, 1971, she married Stanley F. Keller who preceded her in death on March 24, 2000.
Surviving is her fiance Paul Johnson; two brothers, Willard L. Shirkey, III and wife Nanette of Harrisonburg; Bruce A. Shirkey and wife Mary Lou of Bridgewater; a sister, Denise S. Harper and husband Delmas of Bridgewater; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Keller was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberly Ruth Shirkey.
Pastor Wayne Wright will conduct a memorial service on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 5:00 p.m at McMullen Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
The body was cremated.
