Iris Rosella Hinkle Obituary (1939

Iris Rosella Sager Hinkle, 75, Harrisonburg passed away March 2, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Hinkle was born December 24, 1939 in Mathias, WV and was the daughter of the late Guy Vincent and Minnie Frances Dove Sager. She graduated from Mathias High School and the Martinsburg School of Cosmetology. She worked at Coiffure Lauren in Harrisonburg for 16 years and then managed the Cafeteria of Mount Clinton Elementary School until the school closing. Iris enjoyed growing plants and flowers at her home, she loved to cook and serve as a caretaker of her family and friends. She was a member of the Fairview Church of the Brethren. ON November 18, 1961, she married Tony Gene Hinkle who survives. Also surviving are a son, Anthony Lane Hinkle, Baltimore, MD; three sisters, Evelyn Webster, Lost City, WV; Ruby Teets, Fairfax, VA; and Juanita Emswiler and husband Leonard, Winchester, VA; two brothers, Vincent Sager and wife, Jeanette, Mathias, WV; and Glen Sager, Wardensville, WV; twenty-two nieces and nephews, including a beloved nephew, Randy Sager, Jr. and a great niece, Isabella Sager. Preceded in death by one sister, Polly Sprague and two brothers, Francis (Sandy) Sager and Randy Sager, Sr. Pastor Jim Hall will conduct a funeral service Friday morning, March 6, 2015 at 11a.m. at the Fairview Church of the Brethren. A graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Mathias, WV at 2:30p.m. on Friday afternoon. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, March 5, 2015 from 7p.m. until 8p.m. at the McMullen Funeral Home, Harrisonburg.
