Lorene L. Miller Obituary (1917

Lorene L. Miller, 92 Harrisonburg Lorene Lam Miller, 92, a resident of Loyalton died June 11, 2009 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Miller was born on March 16, 1917 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Tracey Smith Lam. And the step daughter of the late Vera Ritchie Lam. She spent her life in the Harrisonburg area. She was employed by J. Ney?s and then was employed at Alfred Ney?s for 25 years. She was a member of the Greenmount Church of the Brethren. On December 20, 1941, she married L.W. (Bill) Miller who preceded her in death on January 30, 2008. Surviving is one sister, Doris Combs and husband Harry, Woodstock; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Bowman, Harrisonburg, a brother-in-law, Statten Echard, Harrisonburg; a niece, Donna Nesselrodt and a great nephew Chad Nesselrodt and caregiver, Jay Shoemaker. Preceded in death by a two sisters, Catherine Echard, Effie Wampler and a brother, Howard Lam. Rev. Ken Dolan and Sheila Wallace will conduct a graveside service Saturday morning at 11a.m. at East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the McMullen Funeral Home, Harrisonburg at any time.
