Everett J. Terry Obituary (1940 - 2010)

Everett J. Terry, 70 Harrisonburg Everett Junior Terry, 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 10, 2010 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Terry was born on October 7, 1940, in Highland County and was the son of the late George Everett and Esther McLaughlin Terry. He was a charter member of the First Assembly of God Church in Harrisonburg. He spent the majority of his life as a farmer and worked for the Virginia Department of Highways until his retirement. He was currently employed at the Harrisonburg Transit. He was a long time supporter of the Rockingham County Fair Association and had served on the board. On April 7, 1961, he married the former Shirley McDaniel who survives. Also surviving are two children, Melinda Berry and husband Dwayne, Mt. Sidney; Henry Terry and wife Valory, Linville; two sisters, Mary Halterman and husband Elmer; Carolyn Rexrode and husband Charles Jr., all of Monterey; one brother, Berlie N. Terry; Monterey; sister-in-law, Dot Terry , Lyndhurst; four grandchildren, Vanessa and Jerrica Berry and Ashton and Rett Terry. Mr. Terry was preceded in death by a brother, James O. Terry and special buddy, Lanier McDaniel. Pastor Jeff Ferguson will conduct a funeral service Monday morning at 11.a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church.
