Eldon Wenger

Eldon Leon Wenger, 65, a resident of Rockingham County, passed away on October 2, 2025, at his home.

Mr. Wenger was born on September 15, 1960, in Rockingham County, VA, to Ethel Marie Rohrer Wenger and the late Raymond Daniel Wenger. He was a farmer and a member of Ridgeview Old Order Mennonite Church.

On April 26, 1984, he married Marietta Jane Wenger, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are his children, Beth Rohrer and husband Brandon, Gerald Wenger and wife Alta, Marilyn Knicely and husband Marvin, Raymond Wenger and wife Rachel, Dawn Horst and husband Isaac, all of Rockingham; siblings, Richard Wenger and wife Margaret, Louise Wenger, Barbara Knupp and husband Donald, Glendon Wenger and wife Melissa; and 15 grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025, at Ridgeview Old Order Mennonite Church with the ministers of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at their home, 2451 Whitmore Shop Road, Rockingham, VA, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., and from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, and from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
