Donald Ritchie

Donald Allen Ritchie, 82, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026 at Blue Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing.
Mr. Ritchie was born on June 9, 1944 in Rockingham County and was a son of the late Grover and Ethel Marie Whetzel Ritchie. He graduated from Broadway High School where he was active in the FFA. He retired from Sierra Trucking where he worked as a truck driver.
He was united in marriage to his wife, Charlotte Marie Lambert Ritchie, for nearly 42 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his stepchildren, Sharrie Bennett, William Edward “Billy” Deeter; siblings, JoAnn Rockwell, Phyllis Ritchie, Robert Ritchie, Paul Ritchie; and step grandchildren, Angel Falls, Tiffany Smith and Brandon; step great-grandchildren, Hannah Falls, Brian Shifflett, Jeremiah Smith, Ezekial Smith; specials friend, John Dawson, Michael Shifflett, Mike Bennett and many more friends, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ritchie was preceded in death by his siblings, Patsy Kline, Shirley Persinger, and Delores Keinath.
The family will announce a memorial service at a later date.
