David "Jake" Payne Obituary (1954

David "Jake" Payne, 69, a resident of Singers Glen, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Sentara RMH Medical Center. Jake was born on March 11, 1954 in Rockingham County and was a son of Myrtle Payne. On January 6, 1997, he married Sharon Rexrode Payne who survives. Also surviving are his children, Nina Allen and husband Eric, Stacy Ford and companion Adrian Brown, all of Harrisonburg; sister, Julia Mizell of Singers Glen; grandchildren, Briana Ford and fiance Jacob Capasso, Benjamin Strawderman, Dakota Ford; great-grandchildren, Greyson Foley, Mayson Foley; nephew, Jason Foley and wife Ashley; great-nephew, L.J. Foley; and great-great nephews, Waylon Foley and Jason Foley. In addition to his mother, Jake was preceded in death by two siblings, Ricky Payne and Tammy Foley.
