Clint Wesley Custer Obituary (1971 - 2023)

Clint Wesley Custer, 52, a resident of Rockingham, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at his home. Mr. Custer was born on October 13, 1971 in Harrisonburg and was a son of the late George Richard Custer and Joyce "Foxy" Irene Dickenson Custer and companion Stanley Carr. He worked in the warehouse and drove a delivery truck for Eck Supply Company. He loved to bear hunt, trout fish and spoiling his grandchildren. On April 21, 2000, he married Vanessa Lynn Shifflett Custer who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Matthew Custer and wife Felicia of Broadway, Chase Custer and girlfriend Cheyenne of Rockingham; sister, Milly Stanley of Verona; grandchildren, Hannah Custer, Nathan Custer; aunt, Jovita Grogg; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special dog, "Runt". In addition to his parents, Mr. Custer was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Dickenson and Rhonda Custer. At his request, the body was cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
