Charles Spence

Charles Allen Spence, 72, a resident of Rockingham, left this life on November 1, 2026.

Charlie was born on November 13, 1953 and was a son of the late Grover Lemuel and Sadie Ellen Wilkins Spence.

Charlie was an avid hunter who enjoyed farming or just being on his tractor to watch deer. He could be found sitting on his porch with a cup of coffee listening to Conway Twitty or showing off his Michael Jackson moonwalk. He will be greatly missed by so many. He was truly one of a kind.

He leaves behind his wife, Debra Anne Spence; two children, Jason Allen Spence and wife Danielle, Amy Marie Hankinson and husband Daniel; twelve siblings; and five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you plant a tree in his memory.

Following cremation all services will be held privately.
