Charles Warren Shoemaker, Sr. Obituary (1924

Charles Warren Shoemaker Sr., 93, passed away on December 23, 2017 at his home in Singers Glen. Mr. Charles Shoemaker was born on January 31, 1924 in Rockingham County and was the son of the late James and Sallie Shoemaker. Mr. Shoemaker was a bus driver for over 30 years and enjoyed working on his farm. He was a member of the Mount Clinton Church of God. His wife, Helen Shoemaker preceded him in death in 1982. Surviving are two sons, Charlie Shoemaker Jr and wife Linda, James Shoemaker and wife Ola; two daughters Peggy and Becky Shoemaker; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by two sons, Jacob Shoemaker and Carson Shoemaker and three sisters, Hazel Lam, Mary Lam and Evelyn Shoemaker. Burial will be private. There will be no formal visitation, however friends may call at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
