Charles Linwood Corbin Obituary (1935 - 2011)

Charles L. Corbin, 76 Charles Linwood Corbin, 76, a resident of Mt. Crawford, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Corbin was born on October 3, 1935 in Augusta County and was the son of Charles McAllister of Waynesboro and the late Ina Corbin Ritchie. Mr. Corbin retired from Perdue and was an over the road truck driver, driving for Houff Transfer and Smith?s Transfer, as well as many other trucking companies. Mr. Corbin was a lifetime member of Hose Company #4 Fire Department. On October 11, 1956 he married the former Eva Jean McDorman who passed away on December 11, 2005. Surviving are his children, Susan Corbin of Mt. Crawford, Tina Corbin Hart and husband Edward of Broadway, Dawn Corbin Miller and husband Jeff of Harrisonburg, and Charles Corbin II and wife Linda of Broadway, a brother, Wellington ?Woody? Corbin of Harrisonburg, six grandchildren, Christa, Chanda, Chanel, Amber, Dustin, and Matt; and three great grandchildren, Autumn, Grace and Alyse. Pastor Michael Fallin will conduct a funeral service on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Mt. Clinton Mennonite Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
