Carol Lynn Heatwole

Carol "Lynn" Heatwole, 74, a resident of Harrisonburg passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.

Lynn was born on September 15, 1944 in Delaware and was the daughter of the late Robert R. and Esther Marie Steward Clark. She loved the beach, reading, knitting, sports, and was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Cooks Creek Presbyterian Church where she was a dedicated Sunday school teacher for over thirty years.

On June 22, 1968, she married Ray L. Heatwole who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kerry Showalter and husband Brent of Hinton, Sara Winterhoff and husband Brian of Richmond; a sister, Esther Ann "Jill" Stempel and husband Robert of North Carolina; a brother, Robert R. Clark Jr. and wife Stacey of Winchester; four grandchildren, Justin Showalter, Tyler Showalter, Lauren Winterhoff and Gabe Winterhoff.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Cooks Creek Presbyterian Church with Gerald Harper officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

The casket will be closed and burial will be held privately.
