Carletta F. Frank, 89

Carletta Florence Frank, 89, a resident of Singers Glen, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Harrisonburg Health and Rehab.
Mrs. Frank was born on December 14, 1923 in Augusta County and was the daughter of the late Mary Naomi Sandy Varner. She worked Sancar for twenty five year and worked at Hudson Garden Center. She enjoyed gardening and flowers and was known for her cooking, and giving to others. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Church of the Brethren.
On January 20, 1945, she married Garnett O. Frank who passed away on January 8, 2004.
Surviving is a son, Robert Allen Varner; two brothers, William Varner and Robert Varner; a sister, Juanita Maddox; three grandchildren, Robin Olshenske, Mary Lisa Stimpfl; Cynthia Ritchie; and two great grandchildren, Matthew Joseph Ripple and Steven Oakley Bennett; special care givers, Gene Summers and Florence Shover.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jospeh O. Frank; one brother, Clyde Varner; two sisters, Sarah Swisher and Cleta Opal.
Reverend William Bearden and Pastor Bill Johnson will conduct a funeral service at the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Singers Glen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Harrisonburg Health and Rehab for providing excellent care to Carletta during her time there.
