Carl Michael Ward

Carl Michael Ward, 80, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Tuesday September 8, 2015 at Sentara RMH Medical Center.
Mr. Ward was born on May 26, 1935 in Singers Glen and was a son of the late Lawson Amby and Mable (Fleek) Ward. Carl was a member of Dayton United Methodist Church. He enjoyed baking, entertaining, music, gardening and spending time with his family.
On April 27, 1968 he married the former Phyllis Rhodes, who survives.
In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by his son, Michael Ward and his wife Elizabeth of Keezletown; one brother, Clyde D. Ward; grandson, Eric Michael Ward; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Claude and Curtis Ward, and four half-brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday September 11, 2015 at 2 PM at the Dayton United Methodist Church, with Rev. David R. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Dayton Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM at the McMullen Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at Dayton United Methodist Church.
