Brent Eaton

Brent Edward Eaton, 65, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

Brent was born on January 16, 1961 in Rockingham County and was a son of the late Forrest Edward and Geraldine Ritchie Deavers Eaton. He drove a truck for Cassco and Ready Ice for 36 years. Brent gave much of himself to the community as a life member of Broadway Emergency Squad. He enjoyed his time in nature hunting, participating in truck and toy shows, attending auctions, and working for the Richmond International Speedway on their track cleanup crew for over 20 years. He was a life member of Cherry Grove United Methodist Church.

On October 4, 1980, he married Teresa Ann Parker Eaton who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Melissa Cash and husband Edwin, Adam Eaton; brother, Kent Edwin Eaton; grandchildren, Kaleb Cash, Jacob Cash, Isaac Eaton, Bella Eaton; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Brent was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy “Pokey” and Frances “Tidy” Deavers; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Reverend Debra Lucas will conduct a funeral service on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Cherry Grove United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Cherry Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
