Barbara Ann Taylor, 80

Barbara Ann Taylor, 80, a resident of Bridgewater, Virginia, (formerly of Youngwood, Pa), passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018.
Mrs. Taylor was born in 1937 in Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late Carroll and Florence Shupe. She was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and worked as a Spanish teacher. She also taught English as a second language in the Adult Education Program in Wallingford, Connecticut. She was an avid book lover, and she worked and volunteered at public libraries in Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Alabama. She loved to travel, and she visited many parts of the United States as well as Mexico and Europe.
In 1963 she married David W. Taylor who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Larry Taylor and wife Mary Jean Speare of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Robert Taylor and wife Karen of East Hampton, Connecticut; a sister, Linda Peduzzi of Beaver, Pennsylvania; a brother, David Shupe of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren, Ryan Taylor and Kate Taylor.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, April 6 from 9:30 am until the time of her memorial service at 10:00 a.m. at Graft-Jacquillard Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale.
At her request, the body was cremated.
