Avis E. Knight Obituary (1949 - 2013)

Avis E. Knight, 63 Avis Eugene Knight, 63, a resident of Fulks Run, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2013. Mr. Knight was born on June 19, 1949 in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Paul Blaine and Ruby Hoover Knight. He was a self-employed logger. He was united in marriage to Vera Long Knight who preceded him in death on November 6, 2006. Surviving are three children, Kimberly Knight, Theodore Bryan Knight, Christopher Knight and wife Jenny, all of Fulks Run; two sisters, Carol Knight and Wanda Knight ; a brother, Speedy Knight; eight grandchildren, Wesley Stroop, Dustin Stroop, Dylan Knight, Cole Knight, Ricky Knight, Kelsey Knight, Kyleigh Knight, and Tyler Custer. Mr. Knight was preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky Knight and Ronnie Knight. Reverends Laney Knight and James Shoemaker will conduct a funeral service on Tuesday afternoon, April 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt.
