Avanell B. Mason Obituary (1922 - 2011)

Avanell B. Mason, 89 Avanell Hope Bradburn Mason, 89, a resident of Bridgewater, died Saturday, May 07, 2011 at Bridgewater Nursing Home. Mrs. Mason was born on January 29, 1922 in Hinton and was the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Omega Viola Hinegardner Bradburn. She worked for many years at Metro Pants in Bridgewater and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church. On April 12, 1946, she married Sidney L. Mason who preceded her in death on February 24, 2003. Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis Hope Mason Flick and husband David L. of Harrisonburg, a brother, Julias Bradburn of Harrisonburg, two sisters, Nina Bradburn and Odessa Showalter both of Bridgewater, and a granddaughter Renee Hope Flick. Reverend Deb Huffman will conduct a graveside service on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at the Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Hinton. A memorial service will be held following the graveside service at the Bridgewater Retirement Community?s Lantz Chapel at 3:30 p.m. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
