Anna Lee Hanger, 68

Anna Lee Hanger, 68, a resident of Harrisonburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 20, 2015 at her home.
Mrs. Hanger was born on December 22, 1946 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Roy Sanford and Della Mearl (Knicely) Bowman. She owned Crystal Joy Cakes. She is with her very best friend in Heaven and felt very blessed here on Earth. She was a member of Peoples Baptist Church.
On November 19, 1971, she married Howard Kenneth Hanger who survives.
Also surviving are two sons Jay Wendell Hanger and wife Jennifer of Broadway; Brian Ashley Hanger of Harrisonburg; two brothers, Byrl Bowman and wife Peggy; Leon A. Bowman and wife Susan E.; a sister, Rhea Bowman Driver and husband Lewis; brother and sisters-in-law, Laura Byrd and husband Bob; Phyllis Hanger; Larry Hanger and wife Linda; three grandsons, Caleb Elliot Hanger; Micah Judson Hanger; Luke Taylor Hanger.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dale Hanger; and a sister-in-law, Opal Hanger.
Pastor Richard L. Forsythe will conduct a funeral service on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Peoples Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Peoples Baptist Church.
Friends may also call anytime at McMullen Funeral Home on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
The casket will be closed.
