Alma Rebecca (Hubbard) Wenger Obituary (1930 - 2016)

Alma Rebecca (Hubbard) Wenger, 85, passed away on April 7, 2016. She was born on November 9, 1930 in Roanoke County, Virginia and was a daughter of the late George E. and Ida Mae (Ulrey) Hubbard. On September 15, 1961 she married the late Fred Amos Wenger at the home of the late Elder J.H. Peters in Hollins, VA. Mrs. Wenger was a very accomplished seamstress and a member of the Shenandoah Valley Quilt Guild. Alma is survived by a son, Roger Lee Wenger and wife Tonie; a sister Hazel (Hubbard) Beckner; a grandson Waylon M. Wenger; and a sister in law, Mildred Wells Hubbard. The funeral service will be held on Sunday April 10, 2016 at 2 PM at Mount Pleasant Mennonite Church with Timothy Showalter, Elvin Shank and Chad McMurray officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday April 9, 2016 from 5 until 8 pm at the church.
